We recognize that wrongful incarceration causes profound and unique trauma, yet freed folks are often treated no differently upon release. To address this injustice, IPF goes beyond legal support, providing essential post-release services through a dedicated transition program led by full-time social workers. These services—ranging from clinical care to housing, employment, and healthcare—offer a lifeline to those rebuilding their lives after years, sometimes decades, of wrongful imprisonment. As IPF continues to expand its capacity to meet growing needs, we're calling on our village to help sustain and grow this critical work. Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Sarah H. Pappas, every gift will be matched—up to $50,000—to help exonerees take their next steps toward freedom.
